I have perusing rrpics.net and a few other sites looking for proto pics for a few boxcars I have. I recently aquired a 50 osb box with cushioned couplers and found a nice pic of a NS car, #406918, to make it look like. Its a simple decal job, one without the large logo and stripes, just the reporting marks and car number along with the car data on it. I also have a couple of the ath blue box extra large auto parts cars in NW blue with the hamburger logo and wanted to bring them in from retirement from the shelf. I worked on the swinging couplers of one of them and sanded down the bottom of the car, the coupler bar, and the sill that rides below the bar to make all the parts move extremely easy. I found 2 cars in proto that I want to model, one is road# 487450 or 487451 which are unique in that the car color is grey and the logos are black with the thoroughbreed horse on the right side. The other car is #487448, which is like the 50'er above in that the car only has reporting marks and the car data without any large logos. I'll post pics with this in the HO section when I start or work on them.

I also been working on a couple of coal cars for NS as well. One is the TopGon using a 100 ton 3 bay as the starting point for it, a 4 bay 120 ton car to be masked and painted black to copy car# 300352, and the other car is a coalporter with an interesting color scheme as it is a repaint with the bottom in boxcar red but the top of the car is aluminum. Pics also to follow in a bit.
